S'mores cupcakes turned out GREAT!! There are some kinks, but thats why this was a test run!!

Looks delicious, right?? First off, I have to say that my KitchenAid is my favorite thing in the kitchen. It brings me such great joy!!

I thought putting mini marshmallows on top would make these that much better!! They kind of melted though, so next time I think I will skip this step and maybe put a graham cracker crumble on top.

This was my first time making marshmallow frosting... It called for egg whites and boiling sugar.. I was so scared to mess it up, but turned out great!!

This is what they looked like before the broiler....

Voila!! S'mores cupcakes!

I adapted this recipe from a couple different places. I used 52 Kitchen Adventures for the frosting and crust, and my favorite chocolate cupcake recipe from Bakerella.
As promised, I am going to be posting some pictures! Here we go!
Cookies and Cream cupcakes

Birthday Cake Oreo Truffles

"Elvis" Cupcakes-Chocolate banana cake with peanut butter frosting

Later today, I will be testing out some SMORES CUPCAKES for my first cupcake club! I hope they turn out as amazing as they sound!!

First Post... Finally!

So I have been thinking of starting a blog for a while now... But just have never actually taken the steps to do it. So here I go...

I love to be in the kitchen... My dad is a chef so I grew up in the kitchen watching him cook. Recently, I have found my love of baking! It all started with Pinterest... I was new to Pinterest and browsing around when I found cake pops... I was instantly compelled to make some! I went out, bought everything I needed and got to work... The first ones didn't turn out excellent, but tasted good! So I worked on them.. I got a bit better, but still no Bakerella!

I took some to work to share, and they were hooked! I started making all different types of treats to share with my amazing co-workers; cupcakes, cake pops, truffles.. OH MY! One day, a co-worker told me that I should start a business. I know nothing of running a business! I just shrugged it off, but it really got me thinking... Maybe I should do something... A friend referred me to Sweet Cheeks Tasty Treats. I poked around her site a bit and read her story of how she became so fantabulous!! Without her and Bakerella, I wouldn't have started taking pictures of all my sweet treats! They have truly inspired me to bake my heart out and hopefully one day, start a bakery of my own. For now, I will stick to taking treats to work, posting my pictures and adventures on here, and occasionally selling a few of sweet treats.

I will post pictures of past treats soon... and start making more tomorrow!
